Surakarta Police – Central Java Police – In order to create a safe and conducive atmosphere during the 2025 Eid al-Fitr holiday, Surakarta Police have increased patrols and security at various tourist locations in the city. This step was taken in response to the potential for a surge in visitors to tourist attractions during the holiday season.

Monitoring in the field shows a number of policewomen (Polwan) from Surakarta Police conducting patrols while having dialogues with visitors at tourist attractions such as Solo Safari and Taman Balekambang Surakarta. Their presence is not only to secure the situation, but also to establish direct communication with the community.

Surakarta Police Chief Kombes Pol. Catur Cahyono Wibowo, SIK, MH through Kabagren AKBP Dwi Erna Rustati, S.Sos as the Polwan pakor explained that this patrol is part of an effort to create public security and order (kamtibmas).

According to him, the presence of Polwan aims to provide a sense of security to visitors and prevent potential disturbances to public order and security.

In addition, the Surakarta Police also appealed to tourism managers to always monitor the situation at their location in order to anticipate unwanted things. Officers in the field also reminded visitors to comply with the rules set by the management, including guarding their belongings and supervising children while at tourist attractions.

“We hope that with this preventive step, the atmosphere in Surakarta City during the Eid holiday will remain safe and conducive,” said AKBP Dwi Erna.
