Surakarta Police Chief Urges Residents to Report If They Leave Their Homes While Going Home

Surakarta Police – Central Java Police – Surakarta Police Chief Senior Commissioner. Catur Cahyono Wibowo, SIK.MH appealed to residents who leave their homes while going home for Eid to report to the police and the local RT head in order to increase environmental security.

“We from the police together with Bhabinkamtibmas, village officials, and RT will conduct checks in the environment left by the owners for going home,” said Surakarta Police Chief Senior Commissioner. Catur Cahyono Wibowo, SIK.MH, Thursday (03/27/2025).

In addition, people who are going home are also allowed to leave their two-wheeled or four-wheeled vehicles at the Surakarta Police office to avoid criminal acts. The Police Chief also appealed to travelers, especially drivers of vehicles traveling long distances, to maintain their health and obey traffic rules for safety during the trip.

“Don’t push yourself if you feel tired. Take a rest immediately at the available rest areas such as mosques and service posts,” he said.

The Surakarta Police Chief also emphasized the importance of community participation in maintaining security and order during the homecoming season.

“We hope that people who leave their homes can cooperate with security forces, such as leaving their homes with neighbors or reporting to the nearest police station,” he hoped.
